What is the O-shot?

The O-Shot® (or Orchid Shot®) is a revolutionary, non-surgical treatment designed to enhance female sexual wellness and confidence. Using your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP), the procedure involves a quick blood draw and injections into specific areas of the vaginal tissue to stimulate natural collagen production, increase blood flow, and rejuvenate nerve endings. Many women report heightened sensitivity, improved lubrication, stronger orgasms, relief from urinary incontinence and painful scar tissue. The O-Shot is a procedure performed by trained professionals, offering a natural and effective solution for women looking to revitalize their intimate health. Only providers who have completed the O-Shot certification through the American Cellular Association are certified to do the procedure.

What to expect during and after your treatment?

The entire visit may take no longer than one hour, and there is virtually no down time after the treatment.  All activities can be resumed immediately according to your comfort level.

  • First you will have blood drawn from the arm. This is similar to having lab work done during a routine physical. The blood is processed in a special centrifuge machine that spins at high-velocity to separate plasma from red blood cells.
  • While blood is processing, a topical numbing substance is applied to the tissue where injections will be administered.
  • Ice may be applied to the area, as well, and a local anesthetic block may be performed if needed to enhance the effects of the topical numbing agent.
  • After PRP has been isolated in a syringe, the substance is injected into specific areas to address concerns discussed during our consultation.
  • Post procedure you may experience light spotting for a short period of time and can continue normal activities incluing sex.
  • The effects from the PRP should begin effect within three days to three weeks post procedure, continuing to peak and may last from six months to two years. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹
  • After six weeks post treatment if you have not reached the desired outcome, you may need a follow up treatment. For Lichen Sclerosis several treatments may be necessary for full recovery.
